Marlene, Dental Hygienist
Marlene has more than 14 yrs of experience as a dental hygienist. She is licensed and registered in North Dakota, a member of the ND Dental Hygiene Association and the American Dental Hygiene Association, as well as providing her expertise in public health service. She is committed to Dental Hygiene and feels it is extremely important to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere and gentle touch for patients of every age and credits the entire team with helping to educate our patients about their dental health care and developing relationships with them.
Marlene is married to Steve and has a son, Brian. She enjoys golf, hunting, hiking, fishing, reading, exercise and fitness.
Nicole, Dental Hygienist
Nicole attended Minot State University and North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed and registered in North Dakota and is an active member of the North Dakota State Hygiene Association as well as the American Dental Hygiene Association. She enjoys the relationships she develops with her patients while providing their hygiene care. She provides a relaxed individual care for each patient and is proficient in periodontal therapy treatment.
Nicole finds great satisfaction in helping patients with their personal oral health so that they can keep their smile healthy for a lifetime. She is married to Adam, they have 2 children ages 7 & 2 and she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and reading.
Katie, Hygienist & Dental Assistant
completed her training both as a Dental Assistant and a Dental Hygienist at North Dakota State College of
Science. She is not only Registered and Certified as an Dental Assistant in North Dakota, but she is also licensed and registered as a
Katie has always known she would be a dental professional and enjoys working for a dentist who "clearly loves what he does, and cares for his patients." She feels the staff are caring and thoughtful and make everyone feel like family. Katie says the patients at Kapla Dental are wonderful and she is proud of the welcoming environment that the team provides.
Lisa, Dental Assistant
Lisa is a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant and has over 4 years of experience. She is skillfull in providing services with the doctor such as whitening, provisional care, occlusal guard preparation and many other services. She assists the doctor with patient treatment and patients appreciate her chairside manner as well as her attention to their comfort during treatment.
Lisa has wanted to be a dental assistant since she was 10 years old, and it shows. She received her training from Lake Region Community College, and belongs to the American Dental Assisistants Association and the ND Dental Association. She is married to Colby and enjoys her dogs, music, crafting and any outdoor activity.
She thinks our patients are wonderful and likes that our staff are always smiling. She feels Dr. Kapla is very caring and provides “gentle” dental care.

Val, Office Manager & Financial Coordinator
Val has 30+ yrs experience in Dentistry and has previously lived with her family in Washington while she attended Pierce College and Tacoma Community College.
She loves that Dr. Kapla and his staff address each patient as individuals and treat their unique needs. She also loves that in our office patients are clearly the top priority from the minute they walk in the door. The dental profession has been her passion since her first day as a dental assistant. She enjoys working with patients and providing help with everything from patient insurance and financial arrangements, to explaining the available treatment plans and options. She keeps things running smoothly so every patient continues to feel comfortable and cared for. You can always count on seeing Val’s beautiful smile the minute you walk in.
She is married to Randy. They have a son and a daughter. Val enjoys reading, decorating, camping, going on day trips, crafts, and quilting.

Vickie, Treatment Coordinator
When you call our office your will be talking to Val and Vickie. But when you get a phone call, postcard, text, or email, it will have been thoughtfully sent from Vickie. She makes sure that the schedule runs smoothly and that phone calls from patients are answered and addressed quickly. She attended Bismarck State College and has many years of experience working with people in the public setting. She loves the “family” feel patients get when they come to see us for their dental care, whether as a first visit or as a long time patient. She loves the staff and atmosphere at our office and provides timely appointments for preventive care.
Vickie is married and has 2 children and a grandchild. She belongs to Abate, American Legion Aux., VFW Aux., and Eagles Aux. She enjoys motorcycling, reading, quilting and watching the Vikings.
